Customer Service Officer
Located at: Croydon Library
- Classification: Band 3 Level A-D $65,688 – $72,370 (Dependent on skills and experience)
- Permanent, Part time – 16 hours average per week including 1 in 3 rostered Saturdays (Bayswater)
- 12% Superannuation
Roster:
- Wednesday 12pm – 8pm 7.25 hours
- Friday 8.45am – 5.30pm 8 hours
- Saturday (1 in 3) Bayswater 9:45am – 12noon 2.25 hours + 1 hour OT
We’re seeking someone who is:

- Skilled in customer service with strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable using technology and supporting others to do the same.
- Organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks.

Key Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated understanding of customer service excellence in a busy public-facing
environment. - Strong inter-personal skills, including the ability to respond promptly and courteously to
customers who are accessing a diverse range of services. - Ability to work in a fast-moving digital environment, and assist members of the public to
utilise Library technology. - Sound written and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with
people of all ages and from diverse backgrounds.
A current Working with Children Check and Driver’s Licence are required (or willingness to obtain).
