About the role

As Library Services Officer you will be part of the Library Branch Services team and will be responsible for supporting day-to-day library operations and providing effective customer service to a diverse audience in accordance with best practice and the Library and Customer Services objectives and vision: Creating connections, improving lives, every moment matters.

Your main focus will be on providing support in the operations and functions of the library service through effective and efficient delivery of library services to the community.

Some of your key accountabilities will include:

  • Providing effective point of need customer services
  • Ensuring exemplary and positive customer experience
  • Providing day-to-day operational and administrative support
  • Applying substantial interpersonal skills to engage customers
  • Assisting customers with varying queries across a range of library resources.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Minimum education Year 12 or equivalent
  • Current Queensland C class driver’s licence
  • Working with Children Blue card (if interested in working in the Children’s Library)
  • Experience in point of need customer service
  • The ability to be resilient, agile and a supportive team member, working at different locations and working outside the normal span of working hours
  • A certificate in a relevant discipline is desirable
  • The ability to undertake a range of manual handling tasks, including a mandatory/required medical check.

The Murray Bridge Library is the largest public Library in the Murraylands region serving the local community, surrounding areas, and visitors from overseas and interstate for more than 60 years.

Maitland Libraries is seeking a Team Leader Library Experience who will be a key leader in evolving our services to provide an innovative, contemporary, and impactful experience for our community.

About You

You are a creative and innovative leader who thrives in an interesting and diverse role leading a team in successfully delivering exceptional customer experiences. Your leadership and communication skills will have you leading innovative projects across the Libraries & Learning team including improving customer journeys, ensuring inclusive design and activation of public spaces.

To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in library and information services, business or project management, or an equivalent combination of relevant contemporary experience in cultural facility or venue management.

You will have demonstrated experience supporting a culture of continuous improvement and the development and delivery of customer centric service delivery with a focus on digital experiences and inclusive practices.

About the role 

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Collections Librarian to lead the Collections team. If you are looking for the next step in your career and to contribute to the success of our libraries and community, this is the job for you!

This role is responsible in managing and maintaining quality and contemporary library collections and providing a socially inclusive library service for all residents in the Bayside LGA.

You can also expect to:

  • Lead a library team and provide advice and support in the management and maintenance of library collections across the Bayside library network to deliver innovative library services that meet customer needs.
  • Work with suppliers and stakeholders to develop and deliver relevant and timely collections, resources, and technologies. 
  • Develop and implement impact evaluation measures for relevant services to provide advice and enhance the delivery of evidence based, innovative library collections. 
  • Provide input and advice to support library budget decision making. 
  • Create or participate in the development and implementation of practices, guidelines, policies, and procedures to enhance service delivery. 
  • Network with other libraries, service providers, and other organisations to share information and resources. 
  • Work on rostered desk shifts at all libraries in the Bayside library network as required to deliver exceptional customer service. 

About You

We are looking for a someone who demonstrates:

  • University qualifications recognised by the Australian Library and Information Association and/or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • A current Working with Children Check number.
  • Current Driver’s Licence Class C and/or willingness to travel between Bayside Library locations.

City of Joondalup Libraries have an exciting opportunity for experienced customer focused individuals to join the team and make a valuable contribution to the needs of our diverse community.

The Library Programs and Services Officer position provides support to the Librarian and Branch Librarian in the implementation and delivery of library programs, activities, services and collections. The position is also required to deliver a high standard of customer service to library customers and assist in the efficient operation of the Library.

Applicants need to provide a covering letter addressing the following key criteria:

  • Demonstrated written communication and numeracy skills
  • Demonstrated time management and problem solving skills
