The Maranoa region in southwest Queensland is approximately 500km west of Brisbane, covers 58,830km and is home to approximately 13,000 residents. The region blends a proud agricultural industry with continuous expansion in the energy and tourism sectors. The area is also a regional hub and gateway to the outback and offers a relaxed and affordable country lifestyle.
Council is seeking a values-driven, service-oriented Manager to shape and lead the delivery of two key community-connected services - Customer Experience and Library Services. Reporting to the Director - Corporate Services this is a unique opportunity to play a key role in uniting local operations into a cohesive, high-quality service model, while acknowledging the unique needs of each community.
You will drive the design and implementation of new strategies that champion innovation, digital delivery, community programming, and measurable service outcomes. As a hands-on, delivery-focused leader, you will work closely with Council, staff, and the community to develop programs informed by local needs and aspirations.
An impressive track record leading major community-focused service initiatives, the ability to blend strategic vision with operational realities, and a background of leading change are essential. On a personal level, strong communication skills and a collaborative approach will be vital in building trust with all stakeholders.
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Library and Information Science or a related discipline are highly desirable. Experience working in regional or rural communities will be a distinct advantage.
