About the Role
You will be responsible for:
- Delivering excellent customer service to the community;
- Presenting a wide variety of library programs;
- Responding to a wide range of customer information needs and requests;
- Adherence to City and service unit systems and processes
About You
We are seeking a customer service professional with knowledge and expertise in libraries or community services. As a collaborative member of the Library Services team, the position contributes to the smooth operation of our existing four libraries, however, this position will have closer alignment to the Two Rocks and Clarkson services.
Our ideal candidate will be an adaptable and experienced customer service professional, passionate about delivering programs that support our goal of providing life-long learning experiences to our customers. Previous experience working in a library is not an essential requirement; however, you should have a good understanding of digital literacy and platforms and the ability to provide technical assistance and education to others.
As such, you will be able to demonstrate through your resume and covering letter that you meet the following capabilities:
- Relevant experience in a similar customer service role;
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment;
- Ability to communicate with and serve all customers with skill and enthusiasm;
- Ability to assist with the creation of programs and be responsible for the delivery of programs in the library; and
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and educate customers on a wide range of technical and digital applications associated with library services,
