Connected Libraries is seeking a highly motivated and driven leader to join our growing team. About us
Connected Libraries are in the City of Casey which is one of Victoria’s largest, fastest growing and most diverse municipalities. We operate five Libraries, a Library Lounge located in Cranbourne West and three sets of 24/7 library lockers. We have an additional Library Lounge service opening in Clyde Township early next year and this position will be part of this exciting new project. We deliver services for the more than 400,000 residents who call Casey home.
About the Role
As Library Lounge Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for;
- Ensuring the smooth operations of both our Cranbourne West and upcoming Clyde Township Library Lounges
- Contributing to the development of innovative and customer focused library service, building capacity in our communities
- Developing, delivering and evaluating community programs
- Delivering innovative customer service
Key Selection Criteria:
- Library qualifications conferring eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library & Information Association
- OR
- Lesser formal qualifications with relevant work skills and experience commensurate with the requirements of the work required
- High level customer service skills
- Proven supervisory and management skills within busy team environments
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate with all ages, across all levels of the community
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet organisational strategic outcomes
- Knowledge of collection management processes
- Excellent information technology and problem-solving skills with a range of information technology and software tools
- Ability to manage capacity of staff to deliver an engaging range of programs and services to meet community expectations
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff within a team environment
- Time management, organisational and planning ability
- Driver’s licence essential
- Working with Children Check

Hours
- Monday 9am-5pm at Clyde Township,
- Tuesday 10am-6pm at Cranbourne Library
- Wednesday 9am-5pm at Clyde Township
- Thursday 12pm-8pm at Cranbourne Library
- Friday 9am-5pm at Clyde Township
- Rostered weekends - 1 Saturday in 4 and 1 Sunday in 8.
Remuneration
$81,309 - $94, 557 per annum
