Waverley Council is looking for a dynamic Team Leader – Library Children and Young People, to lead the planning and delivery of innovative programs, events and workshops to for the children and youth of our community.

What you’ll be doing
- Develop and deliver innovative, high-quality library services that inspire, engage and support children, teens, and families.
- Lead and support a dynamic team delivering programs and services for children and young people.
- Drive service excellence through innovation, collaboration, and community engagement
- Build strong partnerships with community organisations to enhance service reach and impact.
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary qualification in Library and Information Studies or other relevant area of study/experience.
- 1-2 years’ experience in a children’s library setting, project management and staff supervision, with proven capacity to lead and develop staff.
- Demonstrated experience in children’s programming/education.
- Proven ability to embrace change and engage, lead and inspire others to achieve outcomes for the benefit of the organisation and community.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills with strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to deal with difficult customers.
- Current Working with Children Check.
