Salary: Band 6 - $90,571.54 -$99,983.79 + 11 % superannuation

We are looking for a Team Leader - Library Collections to join the Library Collections Team
The Hobsons Bay City Council Community Learning and Service Centres department is currently seeking expressions of interest for the position of Team Leader Library Collections. This position provides an exciting opportunity to lead and direct our Library Collections team in line with our council values, strategic directives, and community expectations.
What you’ll be working on
- Be responsible for planning, coordinating, and curating collections and services to meet the informational, educational, and recreational needs of our community.
- Provide leadership, supervision, and motivation to the Library Collections team, ensuring high-quality services and compliance with all council policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the development of procedures and workflows related to library and collection services, ensuring adherence to established policies and practices.
- Managing daily operational issues and utilizing technology to enhance service delivery, including the implementation of Library of Things initiatives.
What you need to succeed
- Tertiary qualification in information management, information technology, or related discipline.
- Demonstrated skills in the development, curation, and evaluation of innovative community collections.
- Experience in supervising and motivating teams working across multiple locations.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, collaborate, and manage stakeholders in a public sector environment.
