$43.91  to $47.05  Hourly  + up to 12% super

Redland City Council is seeking a passionate and innovative Project Coordinator to lead the delivery of Engaging Minds, Enriching Lives – an exciting age-friendly initiative funded by the Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety.

About the Role:

In this part-time, fixed-term role based at Cleveland Library, you will work closely with Council’s Strengthening Communities Unit and local community groups to design, pilot, and implement a suite of interactive programs for seniors. From activating cutting-edge tools like the Tovertafel and VR Headsets, to empowering staff and volunteers through training, your work will foster connection, learning and creativity for older Queenslanders.

Guided by our Values, your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and piloting interactive library programs tailored to older adults, using tools such as the Tovertafel, VR Headsets, Makerspace, and more
  • Partnering with local community groups and stakeholders to co-design inclusive, age-friendly initiatives
  • Delivering internal workshops, collecting participant feedback, and continuously improving program content
  • Documenting the project through PMO365, reporting on timelines, budget, engagement, and evaluation outcomes
  • Training and mentoring library staff and volunteers to expand program delivery capacity
  • Promoting program offerings in collaboration with the Library Communications and Engagement Team.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience delivering innovative programs that engage older people using library resources and technology
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
  • A genuine passion for supporting older adults and fostering inclusion, social connection, and cognitive wellbeing
  • Strong written skills and attention to detail for accurate project documentation, training guides, and evaluation reports
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project timelines, budgets, and reporting obligations.

Eligibility

  • You’ll hold a current C Class drivers’ licence.
