Library Officer – Noarlunga

2 Positions:
- Part time contract working 33 hours per week – for 2 years
- Permanent Part time working 30 hours per week
About the Positions
Noarlunga Library is seeking two dynamic and motivated staff to join our team.
Both positions require people who can deliver exceptional customer service across our library spaces. We are looking for people who will be a visible, friendly and welcoming presence. You will also need to be passionate about connecting people with experiences and resources that enrich their lives.
Position 01432 - 30 Hours per week:
We’re looking for a caring and supportive person to support the community through our Home Library Service.
In this role you will:
- You will play a key role in fostering inclusion, supporting readers of all ages in access to resources, programs and digital tools.
- Provide exceptional customer service to our Home Library Service customers. An ability to relate to and communicate with older people is a must.
Position 01454 - 33 Hours per week:
We’re looking for someone to plan and deliver engaging library events for adults.
In this role you will
- Plan and deliver events and programs that inspire learning and connection for people of all ages, but primarily for adults
- Provide quality customer service and digital literacy support by assisting visitors in accessing resources and actively promoting library collections and initiatives.
About You
You are a proactive and innovative communicator with an understanding of the key role that libraries play in building informed and connected communities. You are collaborative and comfortable with juggling multiple projects. Whether it’s presenting a school holiday event, planning an engaging author talk or delivering library resources as part of the Home Library Service, you will bring energy, creativity, and professionalism to everything you do.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
- Ability to manage time, plan and prioritise projects and tasks and organize work to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated enthusiasm and commitment to the role libraries play in supporting all forms of literacy and lifelong learning
- Experience in planning, developing, promoting and delivering library events to a wide range of audiences and/or Demonstrated experience in working with older residents, their carers and families.
