Your new role 

To help us deliver on our vision, we are seeking an experienced Coordinator Library Services. This pivotal role combines strategic leadership with operational oversight, ensuring our services remain responsive, innovative, and future-focused.

With a strong emphasis on innovation, the Coordinator Library Services will continue to evolve and expand these offerings to meet the changing needs of our community.

By fostering inclusive and welcoming environments, the Coordinator will ensure our library serves as a dynamic hub for learning, collaboration, and personal growth. Their leadership will inspire staff and engage people of all ages, cultivating meaningful connections and partnerships with local organisations and businesses.

This role requires a thoughtful blend of traditional library values and modern advancements. The ideal candidate will be passionate about lifelong learning and committed to making the library a cornerstone of Victoria Park.

What you’ll need to succeed 

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, preferably in an automated public library environment
  • Highly developed customer service skills and an ability to create a customer focused environment
  • Current ‘C’ class driver’s license
  • A willingness to consider undergoing assessment under the Working with Children (Criminal Record Checking) Act 2004
  • National Police Certificate is required
