Library Systems Support and Innovation Officer

Permanent Part-Time

Band 5 - $69,659 per annum (pro-rata) plus superannuation

Frankston City Council has an exciting opportunity for a part time Library System Support and Innovation Officer within our Arts and Culture Department.

Do you have a passion for technology?  Are you looking to be part of a library team who assists with the maintenance of libraries’ systems, delivering first level ICT support and training, and also the development and delivery of technology programs?

We are looking for a self-motivated, energised and enthusiastic person with a strong commitment to building relationships and delivering quality outcomes for the Frankston community.

Working closely with Team Leader Systems and Innovation, you are passionate at exploring and implementing new and emerging technologies to enhance and encourage life-long learning in the Frankston Community.

Your previous experience in software systems, relevant qualification, and your commitment to customer service will ensure your success in this role 

As the ideal candidate, you will have: 

  • Demonstrated ability to work productively as part of a team.
  • Qualifications in library studies, information technology, teaching or training.
  • Demonstrated ability to  work collaboratively with Council staff, the community, volunteers and other organisations.
  • Well-developed computer skills including, knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and developments in web technologies.

This is a permanent part time role working across all Library service points and which will include evening and weekend work. 

You will need to provide evidence of your right to work in Australia & a Working with Children Check. You must also be willing to provide a Pre-Employment Health Declaration, and undertake a National Police Record Check.
