BIBLIO TURISMO was established 12 years ago by Alan Flores (former library manager at Gosford Library, NSW) as a means for librarians to visit rural libraries to assist them with marketing, and meeting with their colleagues; and to show the public that we can have fun.
BIBLIO TURISMO has visited over half the public libraries in NSW and several in the ACT and Victoria, and it is on again 8 – 10 November 2017.
If you ride a motorbike or have customers who ride motorbikes or would like to join Biblio Turismo in your car make a note in your calendar and book your place by contacting:
Alan Flores E: alan.flores@bigpond.com | T: 02 4367 5909
Participants are responsible for their own safety, food and accommodation – see the BIBLIO TURISMO blog for more information on accommodation.
The event does not raise money just awareness (via local media) of the important good work done by public libraries.
