Vacancy No: V12/2550 - Blue Mountains City Council Library Service is seeking an experienced enthusiastic and customer-focussed individual, self-motivated and able to work across a multi-team environment. Eligible for membership of ALIA, a tertiary qualification or equivalent is required.

The position is responsible for the promotion of information services to the community and Council, by liaising with internal and external groups and organisations, at a local level, in order to determine and respond to information needs; provide information in response to customer enquiries, from routine to complex; assist with the Library Events Plan; the promotion and marketing of Library services and events as required and to work circulation and reference desk shifts as required at any of the (6) library branches.

An ability to work cooperatively as part of a team; excellent communication skills and commitment to quality customer service principles, are essential.

An awareness of OH&S and EEO principles is required.
