New PLA Website Launched for all Australian Public Libraries

Public Libraries Australia is pleased to launch its new website.
Access to the site will be available to all public libraries and their staff.
Membership of the website has two forms:
- Basic Membership - this entitles you to create a basic Blog; Create and add an Event to the PLA national calendar; and manage your own content
- Full Membership (paid members of PLA) - Full access is provided to all the website's services and features including:
- A Document Library (Created to allow members to share documents e.g. papers; position descriptions; plans; media releases; marketing and promotional materials etc)
- Blog - full editing, comment and the uploading of images
- Add/Create a News item
- Add/Create and Event (National and Local Calendar facility)
- Create a Poll
- Create a Survey (note this is still under construction)
- Create a Forum Topic and participate in Forums
- Uploading and sharing of Conference Papers
PLA will be adding new features to the website over time so please let us know what you'd like to see on the site and any suggested changes or improvements. Email: rhenshaw@pla.org.au
